Coalition Information
How it works for our mission
When Texas Emergency Essential Services Network was founded, we knew that a team of experts was crucial and critical to our mission. We knew we needed subject matter experts aiding us in education and action. As such, we founded the Texas Emergency Coalition. In this coalition, we aim to fill these seats with members who either know the industry and/or know how the Texas Division of Emergency Management handles crises.
Coalition Goals
The goal of the coalition is to come together for the common purpose of collaboration. Our mission at Texas Emergency is to create a collaboration of resources that provide essential services during disasters.
Outreach
When the coalition meets, they aim for outreach as a primary goal. That means communication with resources to ensure their needs throughout this process are being met. If there’s a technology need, the coalition helps Texas Emergency respond appropriately. Whatever the issue that might arise, the coalition is a major tool in ensuring outreach and two-way communication.
Meetings
The coalition meets both quarterly and on an as needed basis. Since Texas Emergency values and upholds the coalition’s wisdom, we decided to let the coalition take control of their own meeting and decision-making times.
If we haven’t made it completely clear, we’ll say it now. We aim for transparency in all of our operations. As such, the coalition provides us with both knowledge and a checks-and-balances system, which ensures Texas Emergency is primarily focused on best practices for essential service indexing.
